A Day as a Demon

One night while Yuma was patrolling for demons, a Krampus girl caught his eye. She was walking around casually, as if this was her world. She did not detect him so he snuck up behind her, following her.

After he was close enough, he lunged at her. She turned around as he did so, but he was stopped by none other than Master MacTavish himself.

“Master, what are you doing?” Yuma questioned.

“Protecting my daughter, and no, it’s not like THAT. I adopted her,” Master MacTavish explained.

“But what about what you taught me? You said that demons were our enemy!”

“Damn it, Yuma Thundermoon. I said ‘demons that would do anyone harm are the enemy.’ You can’t blame me for your misinterpretation!”

“Oh ‘misinterpretation’ my asshole. I’m going to get back to you on this,” Yuma looked at the Krampus girl, “and after that I’ll end your life, foul demon,” then he walked back to his house.

“Sooner or later Beate, he will put that racism of his behind him.”

Master MacTavish walked by to his home while Beate looked for a faerie friend of hers. She eventually found her.

“Hey, Róise.”

“Beate, what’s up?”

“I have a problem that I need your help with. I need you to turn a certain someone into a demon so they know what it’s like.”

“Ah, I see. And who is it?”

“I think you might have seen him before. His name’s Yuma Thundermoon.”

Róise looked for a picture of him online.

“There he is.”

“Ah, I’ve seen him before, and I know where he lives. Now what kind of demon shall I turn him into?” Róise pondered. After searching on a wiki for a short time, she found the perfect demon to use. As she flew over to Yuma’s house, Beate went back to hers.

After Róise zapped him, Yuma began to change so she went back to her house. First, Yuma’s skin tone turned a crimson red. His hair turned dark green and grew long. Curled ram horns grew out of his head, and his facial features softened, turned feminine.

Losing his adam’s apple and narrowing shoulders came next. Then his arms turned slender and his hands became small. Two DD-sized mounds formed on his chest and pushed his shirt outward. His figure became quite curvy, desirable even, as his hips expanded and his waist shrunk. His butt turned round and perky as a tail forced its way out at her tailbone.

His manhood turned into her new womanhood. While her legs turned slender her feet became cloven feet.

Then next morning, she got up and went to her bathroom. The first thing she did in there was saw what she had become. She immediately screamed at the top of her lungs.

“I- I’m a- a demon. But how?”

After she relieved herself she went back to her bedroom and looked for one of her TG knives. She stabbed herself with one only to find that all it did was hurt her.

“Didn’t work. Maybe I still have healing magic.”

She managed to heal the wound right up. Afterwards, she attempted to transform herself into a human. At first glance it appeared to work, then she tapped her foot to find that it was only an illusion.

“Aw, I’m still a demon,” she groaned.

Later, she headed outside. It was within mere moments that she came across Beate MacTavish, in her human form.

“Say, you’re not all you appear to be,” Beate said.

“Wh- what do you mean?” Lozen nervously asked.

Beate took a couple of sniffs. “Yep, you have the scent of a demon.”

“This is true.”

Beate smiled a little. She knew that this new demon was in fact the same demon hunter that tried to kill her last night. Even though she already knew the answer, she asked, “Mind if you tell me your name at least?”

“It’s Lozen.”

Beate took a look at the name on the mail that Yuma hadn’t removed. “I see, so what are you doing at Yuma Thundermoon’s house?” she questioned. “You should know he hates demons. I’d go as far as to say he’s racist towards them.”

Lozen looked extremely nervous.

“Or maybe you are him, that demon hunter I met last night? No?”

Lozen looked sad at this exposure. “Yes, that would be me,” she muttered.

“Karma’s a bitch, huh?”

“Why couldn’t I have just been turned into a girl instead? Why’d ‘demon’ have to be added on?” Lozen grumbled.

“Sounds like this isn’t the first time something like this has happened,” Beate observed.

Lozen gasped at this next exposure. She verbally stumbled as Beate stared observantly at her. There was no denying it now. “Yes, I have been turned into a girl before, but never a demon,” then she asked, “Would you please help me? I don’t think I can turn to anyone else.”

Beate smiled, “Of course. Heck, this is probably just some ‘temporary spell’ sort of deal. But until then, I have much to show.”

Lozen followed her all the way to the city’s underground Demon Hunter’s Guild for some lunch. However, when they got there, they were greeted by nothing but dirty looks. Had it not been for who Beate’s father is, they both would have been dead on the spot.

They went to the café and ordered French dip sandwiches. Lozen felt really uncomfortable and whispered, “Do we really have to eat here? Everyone’s giving us such dirty looks.”

Beate whispered back, “Yes, look around. They are giving us the same look that you gave me last night. Not so good when the shoe’s on the other foot huh?”

After they finished lunched they headed elsewhere. After exiting the Guild they turned back into humans.

“That was horrible. My own kin, looking at me like I’m some kind of monster.”

“All you want to do is fit in, but because of what you’re ancestors and those that happen to be the same race as you did, you get treated like you’re just like them.”

“Yeah,” Lozen nearly broke into tears.

Later, Lozen explained her story to Beate, including all the times she had been turned into a girl. Beate in turn explained her story and promised not to tell Master MacTavish.

When dinnertime came, they went to a favorite restaurant of Beate’s. After entering they were reverted to their demon forms. Inside were demons of all kinds who, like Lozen and Beate, were not malicious. Lozen couldn’t believe her eyes.

They found a place to sit down and almost immediately afterward a red oni starting hitting on Lozen.

“So Miss, are you single?” the red oni asked with an Irish accent.

Lozen started to blush, though her skintone concealed it. Beate interjected with, “She’s not looking for a boyfriend at the moment.”

“Well, if you ever are you can always find me in here. Name’s Cuileán, and you are?”

“You can call me Lozen.”

“Well Lozen, I don’t supposed you’d mind listening to my story at least?”

“Go ahead.”

“My twin brother and I were cast out of Hell by our own mother and father. We were the runts of our litter and as such were seen as weak. They tossed us out, hoping to kill us, but by some miracle we survived the impact unscathed. Landed in Killarney, we did. We were found by an Irishman and his Japanese wife. Two of the finest demon hunters of our time, and they took us in and raised us as their own. Of course, that didn’t stop others from seeing us as mere monsters, like other oni. Well, I’ve done enough rambling enjoy your meals. The food here is some of the finest in the city.”

Cuileán went back to his seat at the bar.

Beate ordered escargot and fried spiders for both her and Lozen. While bugs on the menu didn’t surprise Lozen, the professional way in which they were cooked surprised her a little at least. She ended up loving the escargot and spiders. After dinner, Lozen and Beate were ready to head back to their homes.

“Hey, I’m sorry for nearly killing and acting like such a dick.”

“I’ve already forgiven you.”

“And could you not tell Master MacTavish about this?”

“Of course. You know, I believe this is the start of a beautiful friendship.”

The next morning, Lozen woke up to find herself not a demon, but she was still a girl. After breakfast she changed clothes and turned herself back into Yuma.

Later, Yuma went to Master MacTavish’s martial arts training center to apologize. He bowed, “Master MacTavish, I am sorry for my behavior the other night and for nearly killing your daughter. I hope that you can find it in your heart to forgive me.”

“I already have, and you Beate?”

“Ditto.”

Yuma left. Master MacTavish turned to Beate, “I don’t even want to know what you did to get him to apologize. Point is that he no longer sees all demons as the monsters we hunt.”

“Oh don’t worry Dad. I didn’t do anything to him.”

In this story, Yuma learns that not all demons are bad because your birth does not dictate your destiny. Aisling lives in a tree in Yuma's yard, but he has no idea that she lives there. It's a good way to follow up the last story, no?

Yuma, Lozen, Beate, Master MacTavish, and Aisling belong to me. Cuilean is a one-shot character.
